Dr. Jennifer Boeckman is American Board Certified in Allergy/Immunology and Internal Medicine. She clinically practices Allergy and Immunology and treats patients of all ages, both children and adults. While she has a broad allergy practice, her clinical interests are asthma, environmental/pet allergies, food allergies, and urticaria/angioedema. She has a particular interest in the early reintroduction of food allergens in young children to promote the likelihood of outgrowing food allergies.
Dr. Boeckman attended medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) / Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. While at UPMC, she trained with experts in severe asthma and studied the clinical manifestations of urticaria and angioedema. At the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Dr. Boeckman was directly involved in clinical trials for oral and epicutaneous (patch) immunotherapy for children with life-threatening peanut and cow’s milk allergies.
Dr. Boeckman is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and is the President Emeritus of the Minnesota Allergy Society. She is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology. When she is not at work, Dr. Boeckman enjoys exercising, reading, playing board games, playing Spelling Bee, and spending time with her family and dog Odie Pierre.
